What does BCS Do?

BCS is a powerful and fully integrated legal entity and management consolidation tool. It offers comprehensive accounting functionality, support for multiple GAAP requirements, fast close and corporate governance.

Prepare: Master data is collected from all Business Units for consolidation purposes (SAP and Non-SAP systems alike) including versions, charts of accounts, etc.

Collect: reported financial systems data is collected either through automatic upload or manual entry. Data is then validated, currency translated and stored.

Consolidate: BCS offers inter-unit eliminations, inter-unit profit eliminations, consolidation of investments, reclassification and allocations. The steps involved in the consolidations process are dictated by your business requirements and are fully customizable and flexible. Depending upon your particular business requirement, BCS will automate the process, or allow manual adjustments, even create a workflow for authorizations and consistency of data flow!

Report: BCS uses BW as its data basis, and as such offers all the flexibility and consistency offered by Bex, Bex web and other reporting tools in the BW environment. It is also linked with CPM for dashboard and cockpit generation!
